National Leader of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Senator Seriake Dickson, has warned supporters of Peter Obi to stop attacking the party’s leadership.
He insisted that the NDC is bigger than any individual and declaring that no one is more qualified than him to contest the party’s presidential ticket.
His reaction came on the heels of the growing criticisms and online attacks directed at the NDC leadership by some supporters of Peter Obi, as internal conversations over the party’s future and the 2027 presidential race continue to gather momentum.
He said:”There is no one more qualified than me to run for the presidency in the NDC. No one is doing the NDC a favour by running for president.”
He also warned Obi’s supporters against attacking the party hierarchy while professing loyalty to the NDC.
He added:”You cannot be supporting Peter Obi and be disparaging me and the leadership of the party. If it’s easy, go and form your party. People should be careful as we move on,” he stated.
