The Governorship Campaign Council of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) in Oyo State has announced the constitution of its Media and Publicity Sub-committee ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
In a statement on Saturday by the Campaign Council of its governorship candidate, Chief Bimbo Adekanmbi, the party named veteran journalist, Mr. Yinka Oladoyinbo as Director of Communication/Spokesperson and Dr. Sulaimon Olanrewaju as Co-Director/Spokesperson.
Also appointed as Deputy Directors are:
- Ms. Ronke Giwa-Onafuwa
- Mr. Dapo Falade
- Mrs. Bosede Sodiq
- Mr. Moses Alao
- Mr. Fisayo Daramola
According to the Council, the appointments take immediate effect, with the committee mandated to drive the campaign’s communication strategy, media relations and grassroots publicity across the 33 local government areas of the state.
Mr. Yinka Oladoyinbo
The director of media and Spokesperson, Mr. Yinka Oladoyinbo is a deputy editor of the Nigerian Tribune. With 27 years post qualification experience as a journalist, he has worked with Daily Trust and The Punch as State correspondent in Lagos, Ondo and Kogi States.
He is also a grassroots politician who recently served as Secretary of Ibadan Southwest Local Government. He presently heads the Politics Desk of the Nigerian Tribune, Nigeria’s oldest newspaper.
Ms. Ronke Giwa-Onafuwa
Ms. Ronke Giwa-Onafuwa is a Radio and Television broadcast media professional with more than 16 years of experience building brands, voices, and platforms across Nigeria’s media landscape. She has built her career primarily in Ibadan, following a foundation in music production and performance in London before returning to Nigeria in 2008. She also has a Masters in communication and Language Arts from the prestigious University of Ibadan
Ronke has twice held the role of General Manager within broadcast media.
A TEDx speaker, professional master of ceremonies, and content creator, Ronke is a regular voice on stages focused on media, communication, and personal branding.
She serves on the boards of Educare Trust and Alliance Française Ibadan, contributing to education and cultural exchange initiatives.
Mr.Dapo Falade
Mr. Dapo Falade is a journalist with more than 20 years covering and politics.He built a distinguished career at the Nigerian Tribune, Nigeria’s oldest surviving newspaper, rising to Deputy Editor.
Over his tenure, he led major political and regional coverage as State Correspondent in Ekiti and Rivers, and as the lead Senate Correspondent in Abuja.
In May 2020, he founded Newscoven.com, a fast-growing digital news platform delivering high-impact journalism in the new media era.
