The executive director, Fight AIDS Africa Youth Organisation, Mr Junaid Adeyemi,has emphasized the need for urgent intervention in the provision of alternative treatment and policy for the protection of people living with Acquired Immuned Deficiency Syndrome.
This is coming on the heels of the recent suspension of USAID program by President Donald Trump’s administration .
He hunted on the need to halt the gap created by the suspension to check the spread of HIV virus in the Nigerian society.
He emphasized on sustaining 0.1% prevalent rate recorded by both federal and Ondo state agencies for the control of AIDS.
Mr Adeyemi implored the federal and Ondo state governments to prioritize provision of palliatives and alternative drug therapy needed for suppression of HIV, AIDS, tuberculosis and hepatitis.
