The Senate has moved to suspend Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan (PDP Kogi Central) for six months.
This followed a report of the Committee on Ethics, Code of Conduct and Public Petition read before plenary on Thursday by the chairman of the Committee, Senator Imsuen, Neda Bernards (Edo South).
The Red chamber also withdrew all privileges such as salaries due to her and all legislative aides attached to her.
The Committee further recommended that Senator Natasha be barred from accessing her office in the National Assembly, and barred from accessing the premises of the National Assembly, as well as parading herself as a Senator in the 10th Assembly.
Senator Natasha had on Wednesday shunned a meeting of the committee which sought to query the altercation last week in the Chamber when she openly refused to move to a new seat allocated to her.
