Amotekun Parades 12 Suspected Criminals In Ondo
No fewer than 12 suspects who specialise in kidnapping, robbery and stealing were paraded by Amotekun corps  in Ondo State.
One of the suspects, Amodu Sende, was a member of a kidnap syndicate, who kidnapped two Fulani herdsmen, Amidu Ibrahim and Musa Ibrahim in Supare area of Akoko.
According to the Amotekun commander, the two abductees were tied by the kidnappers and were about to be killed when men of Amotekun stormed the forest and rescued them.
One of the abductors was arrested while other kidnappers escaped arrest.
But the arrested kidnapper disclosed that he operated with a 7-man syndicate which came from Okene, Kogi State.
He confessed that the hired cattle to disguise as herdsmen so they could abduct their unsuspected victims.
Chief Adeleye disclosed that in the Phase 4 Operation Clean Up of the Amotekun, a new strategy has been employed as Hausa/Fulani community residents take oath Of allegiance to check criminals In the state.
The new strategy has begun to yield positive results as the 12 suspects arrested were aided by the Hausa/Fulani community.
Addressing Hausa/Fulani Community leaders from Ose Local Government Area, Chief Adeleye  said: “We want you to assist us also. Two Fulani men were kidnapped by their fellow Fulani. Amotekun is not working for Yoruba alone but all residents in the State.
“Give me information, anywhere they are Amotekun would go there. The one who operated in Akoko were arrested in the forest. They said they came from Okene, Kogi State.We arrested them and they will be arraigned in court.”
Secretary of Hausa/Fulani community in Ose Local Government, Babangida Umar disclosed that the current executive of the community in were sworn in with Holy Koran that they will work with government. They all have legitimate jobs.
He said: “We have started this job already and we arrested three criminals and brought them to Amotekun.We arrested suspected kidnappers.”
