Alleged N10bn Fraud: Court Threatens Arrest Of Stella Oduah

A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, has threatened to issue a warrant of arrest against former Aviation Minister, Senator Stella Oduah.
Justice Inyang Ekwo made the threat following Oduah’s absence in court to answer charges preferred against her by the Federal Government over allegation of stealing over N10billion while in office.
The court warned her lawyers that if the former Aviation Minister fails to appear in court on the next adjourned date of October 19, for arraignment, a bench warrant of arrest will be issued against her.
Oduah, now a senator representing Anambra North Senatorial district in the Senate was to be arraigned on a 25-count charge but she was not in court along with 4th defendants.
When the matter  was called,Dr Hassan Liman SAN, counsel to the prosecuting agency, the  EFCC,  told the court that all the defendants had been served with the charges as ordered by court and expressed dismay that the former minister was again, not in court without any cogent reason.
According to him,32 witnesses have been lined up to testify against Oduah and other defendants in order to establish the fraud charges levelled against them.
Listed for trial along with Oduah, as defendants in the charge, marked: FHC/ABJ/CR/316/2020 are Gloria Odita, Nwosu Emmanuel Nnamdi, Chukwuma Irene Chinyere, Global Offshore and Marine Ltd, Tip Top Global Resources Ltd, Crystal Television Ltd, Sobora International Ltd and China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) Nigeria Limited.
