The Police in Rivers State have arrested a 30 Year old man simply identified as Jeffrey for allegedly defiling his landlady’s 13 year old daughter.
The incident happened lasry Friday at an estate close to the Federal Government College in Abulomma, Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.
The suspect,who has a tailoring shop within the estate, lured the victim to the shop where he defiled her after promising to sew a new clothe for her.
The victim reported what transpired to her mother, who reported the crime to the Amadi Police Division, leading to the arrest of the suspect.
It was learnt that a medical examination conducted on the victim by the Police confirmed that she was defiled.
Contacted, the Public Relations Officer for the Rivers State Police Command, SP Grace Iringe-Koko, confirmed the arrest of the suspect, adding that he has been transferred to State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID), Port Harcourt for discreet investigation.
