The National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) has commended Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State over efforts to attain the Universal Health Coverage.
The state coordinator of NHIS, Comrade Abdulhakeem, Musa Aliyu,who gave the commendation at the opening ceremony of the operational guideline validation workshop of the Board of Gombe State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency, said the state has gone far ahead of other states in implementing the State Contributory Health Scheme.
He commended the board members for their passion to improve the lives of people at the grassroot and their diligence in executing the initiative of Governor Inuwa.
He stated that within a very short time GoHealth and her Board will be a point of reference in the field of contributory healthcare schemes in the country.
