
Senator Abiodun Olujimi has implored Governor Kayode Fayemi to take proactive measure to check the level of cultism and other criminal activities in the state .
Olujimi, the Senator representing Ekiti South Senatorial District therefore commiserated with the Ogaga of Ikere-Ekiti, Oba Adejimi Adu and the people of the community over the sad incidents .
The Senator described the incident as unacceptable and alien to the behavioral pattern of peace-loving people of Ekiti State.
The legislator, who expressed worries over the untimely death of innocent citizens by the rival cult groups, said hooliganism and cultism should not be a way of life and must be discouraged.
She noted that the loss of human lives to the blood y violence was worrisome, calling on the security agencies to fish out the masterminds of the killings and ensure they face full wrath of law.
“I condemn in totality the Saturday’s cult clash in Ikere-Ekiti which claimed at least six lives. It is barbaric and inhuman to kill fellow human being under any guise.
“The spate of kidnapping, banditry and activities of cultists has instilled phobia in the residents with residents finding it difficult to sleep with two eyes close”.
