
Monarchs in Ekiti State have warned politicians to shun violence and ensure that they play the game according to its rules.
They gave the warning against the backdrop of the incident at Omuo-Ekiti on Saturday during a botched House of Assembly by-election which claimed lives and left dozens injured .
The Chairman,Ekiti State Council of Traditional Rulers and Alawe of Ilawe Ekiti, Oba Adebanji Ajibade Alabi, who spoke on behalf of the monarchs implored indigenes of Ekiti state to embrace politics without bitterness.
The monarchs noted that the gruesome killings that took place during the election was unnecessary and condemnable.
He commiserated with Governor Kayode Fayemi and the families of those who died during the election.
