Why There Are Fuel Queues In Abuja,Lagos-NNPC

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited is working with relevant stakeholders to end the tightness in fuel supply and distribution witnessed in some parts of Lagos and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja.

The company in a statement signed by Olufemi Soneye,the Chief Corporate Communications Officer, said the seeming scarcity is due to hitch in the discharge operations of a couple of vessels.

The statement reads: “The NNPC Ltd wishes to state that the tightness in fuel supply and distribution witnessed in some parts of Lagos and the FCT is as a result of a hitch in the discharge operations of a couple of vessels.

“The company further states that it is working round the clock with all stakeholders to resolve the situation and restore normalcy in the operations”.

Premium News reports that,on Friday, many filling stations in Abuja and neighbouring states did not sell fuel,leading to long queues.
