The posters of Oyo state governor, Oluwaseyi Abiodun Makinde for 2027 presidential race, on Thursday, lined strategic places in the ancient city of Kano
His posters for president were noticed along Malam Aminu Kano International Airport (MAKIA),while it was posted around the roundabout leading to MAKIA, Wappa areas, Kano Central Business Districts, the city centre, and major streets in the city.
Some of the inscriptions on the posters read: “To move Nigeria, Forward 2027″.” His Excellency Engr Oluwaseyi Abiodun Makinde for President Federal Republic of Nigeria,”
A group, Nigeria Youths Awareness Group for Makinde 2027( NYAG Makinde’), had during a press conference in Kano last weekend said “going by the political permutations of 2027 presidential election, only the Governor of Oyo State, Engr Seyi Makinde can move Nigeria forward, hence the need for all patriotic lovers of democracy to rally around him irrespective of political affiliations to get the nod’
Alhaji Lawal Abdullahi, the National secretary of the group who spoke during the interactive session with the press explained that: “We have met as different groups and have agreed to have a common front for the Seyi Makinde for President 2027”
Lawal Abdullahi had emphasized that: “We are a moving train and no stopping us until we achieved our objective of a Seyi Makinde presidency.”
He stated: “We have ave keenly followed his achievements in Oyo State and discovered that he is a focused administrator, someone who is committed to making lives better. He is the kind of leader we need now in Nigeria.”
Governor Seyi Makinde has last month said he has the capacity to become Nigeria’s president.
“I don’t have any doubt that I have the capacity to occupy the highest office in this land and I have what it takes,” Makinde said on Channels Television’s Politics Today programme.
