The National and State House of Assembly elections petition tribunal sitting in Kano on Thursday nullified the election of Muktar Yerima representing Tarauni Federal Constituency over certificate forgery.
Yerima, an NNPP stalwart won a popular votes to the Green chamber during 2023 General election.
The petitioner, Hafizu Kawu of the APC had challenged the electoral victory of Muktar Yerima of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP)which the tribunal upheld .
The three member tribunal ruled that the primary school certificate tendered by the respondent, Muktar Yerima was forged.
