The Coalition for Good Governance(C4GG) haa given Osun State Governor,Ademola Adeleke 7-days to sue his immediate predecessor,Gboyega Oyetola over breach of trust and poor management of the state’s finance.

Adetayo Adegbemle,Convener, C4GG,who handed down the ultimatum to the incumbent administration in a statement made available to Premium News on Saturday, said his group would sue Adeleke if he fails to take requisite legal action against Oyetola after the expiration of a week ultimatum.

He said the former governor messed up Osun state finances from revenue to expenditure and multiple debts, which is at variance and in contrast with multiple claims by Oyetola on the prudence nature of his administration which has now been found to be a ruse.

He noted as extreme, sadistic and in bad faith, the behavior of the immediate past APC administration of Governor Oyetola in Osun state, in the wake of the recent revelation of Osun state debt profile by Governor Ademola Adeleke.

He sought the probe of all contracts awarded by the former Governor in the last 2years and lamented that it’s absolute disrespect for the people that Oyetola’s administraton did not prepare a handover note, as it is customary to do when a new administration is taking office.

He added:”That the Oyetola led Administration could go ahead to procure loan in the name of the already improverished and mis-administered state like Osun, even after losing the election earlier in July 2022, further gives credence to the disdain Oyetola has for the people of Osun State.Oyetola has broken the trust of the Osun state people, against the oath that he swore to, and need to face the consequences.

“C4GG noted with great concern how Governor Gboyega Oyetola who have been at the helm of affairs of Osun State public finance and governance for the past twelve years have failed to take responsibility as demanded of great leaders around the world, and instead of apologizing to the people of the state for failing to run an all inclusive and transparent government while in office, he is dubiously trying to distort facts and figures in a bid to shift blame to a government he was part and parcel of for several years.

“We demand immediate and unreserved apology from Governor Oyetola in the wake of this damning disclosures from Governor Ademola Adeleke, which has now been followed by an even more damning revelation from Former Governor Aregbesola confirming that all the financial transactions consummated during his administration was not without the full knowledge and approval of Governor Oyetola who was at the time the Chief of Staff to the state government”
