“Your exco is mindful of the extent Alumni association can go in creating everlasting bond, building bridges and solution-driven initiatives to cater for the challenges between us and our old school.Of course,we meant every bit of of our words when we told you during inauguration that transparency, accountability and value addition are our key watchwords.
“We therefore see today’s meeting as opportunity for us to see ourselves, discuss certain fundamental issues bothering the members and the school,as well as explore avenues to get them solved in our modest way in the interest of us all.Your exco earlier visited our secondary school to have on-the spot view of the deteriorating infrastructure in the institution that produced great minds seated in this hall.
“It’s our concern that we should not look away while the facilities keep losing form, while our innocent children in the school are made to receive malfunctioned education due to no fault of theirs. We have resolved to table our findings before this meeting and collectively agree on the mode of intervention to save the school from collapse.
“The current Principal and Vice Principal of the school have identified with us and promised to honour us with their presence at this meeting. We also implore our friends abroad to see the association as a tool to deepen the bond among us,irrespective of the distance and other challenges.
“Our hands are still widely and warmly open for sustainable relationship which is based on trust, self esteem, self respect and value addition.Let us all continually build this bridge that would be long enough to serve us,our families and our dear nation”
