Niger state government has confirmed the kidnap of its Commissioner for Information, Alhaji Mohammed Sani Idris.
He was kidnapped by suspected armed bandits at about 1:am today from his home at Baban-tunga village in Tafa Local Government Area of the state.
Sani Idris who is said to have visited his area for the weekend before the arrival of the suspected bandits ,was last seen at the commissioning of some metropolitan roads rehabilitated and reconstructed by Governor Sani Bello.
The Chief Press Secretary to the governor,Mary Noel-Berge,said security agents are currently on the trail of the kidnappers
