Makinde Charges  Council Bosses On Good Governance

Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde has urged the new council bosses in the state to see  use their position  to improve the fortunes of Oyo.
Makinde,who gave the admonition at the swearing-in ceremony of  the council bosses on Monday,also emphasized the need for them also advised them  to emulate his good governance style to ensure the people at the grassroots feel their presence.
He said:”You have to replicate the good governance at the state level to let people continue to love us, you should embark on all inclusive governance, see this your new office as an opportunity to deliver good governance to people at the grassroots.The people at the grassroots should be able to hold you accountable, just like the way the people of the State are holding me accountable.
“Your have been sworn in by the State Chief judge and have been administered on the oat of allegiance as well as oat of office, and I have approved your documents that validate your office, you have now become the authentic elected Chairmen and Chairperson of your various local government, and nobody, even me can remove you from office, it will take some process to get you remove from office.
“I congratulates all of you, the 32 local government Chairmen and person present here, you should have been 33 if not for the postponement of election in Ido local government area due to omission of name and logo of the Zenith Labour Party and I have been informed that the elections will hold this week and very soon you will be completed as soon as whoever become elected Chairman in the affected local government joins you.
