
Governorship candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the October 10, 2020 gubernatorial election in Ondo State, Mr. Eyitayo Jegede (SAN) has promised to pursue to the apex court the litigation he filed against the process that produced the candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) Mr. Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.
He disclosed this when he received leaders of his party led by the state Chairman, Hon. Fatai Adams in his residence at Alagbaka, Akure, the state capital.
He said: “I want to assure you all that, with this visit, I am determined more than ever before to march on. We have laid our hands on the plough and there is no going back. We are in this together. We will get there together and we will be happy together.”
Akinyelure, in a statement by his Special Assistant(Media & Strategy), Charles Akinwon, said: “This is not the end of the matter, even with what the judges had read, I still believe there will be light at the end of the tunnel. Members of our party should be hopeful because I have the assurances that Barrister Eyitayo Jegede (SAN) will still carry the day at the Appeal Court.”
