Troops Kill 48 Boko Haram Terrorists, Rescue 11 Kidnap Victims In Borno –  Channels Television
Troops deployed in Chibok under 28 Task Force Brigade of Sector 1 Operation Lafiya Dole have killed   48 Boko Haram terrorists in an ambush along Chibok-Damboa and Askira areas of Borno State,a statement has  said.
 Besides,11 kidnap victims were also set free by the soldiers during the two operations.
 Brig. Gen. Mohammed Yerima, spokesman of the Army, said the troops laid ambush, engaged and overwhelmed the criminals along the Chibok-Damboa area, killing nine terrorists in the process while several others escaped with gunshot wounds.
He disclosed that the troops also recovered seven AK-47 rifles and freed three kidnapped victims,adding  that the troops of 28 Task Force Brigade located in Askira equally laid a successful ambush along Askira-Chibok Main Supply Route and neutralised  39 terrorists.
It  said :“In the course of the encounter, troops successfully rescued eight kidnapped victims from the terrorists.Unfortunately, however, one of the kidnapped victims sustained injury to his leg while in the hands of his abductors. He has since been conveyed to a military medical facility for immediate treatment.”
