The Lagos State Government has said that   it targets increased food production by 50 per cent in four years
Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat,who disclosed thisv at an event to mark the 150th Cooperative Anniversary of Friesland Campina in Lagos, said the development will  create new opportunities within the state and Nigeria.
He added that the state’s effort will further stimulate economic growth and prosperity in the agriculture sector.
He said: “On our part, under the leadership of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Lagos State, as the commercial nerve centre of Nigeria, has further renewed the State’s vigor and vision to increase food production to at least, 50 per cent by 2025, thereby creating new opportunities to feed itself and Nigeria, as well stimulating economic growth and prosperity through agriculture.”
He expressed optimism that even after the administration, this vision is carried along into the future with more farmer recruitment.
