CAN President Celebrates Ooni @50

Archbishop Daniel Okoh, President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), has praised the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi (Ojaja II), for his remarkable contributions to peace, unity, and cultural preservation in Nigeria, as he marks his 50th birthday.

 

 

 

 

 

He highlighted the monarch’s role as a beacon of hope, commending his commitment to fostering interfaith harmony and cooperation.

 

 

 

 

In a statement,he said:”In a world often divided by differences, Your Majesty’s leadership underscores the importance of faith, love, and understanding”

 

 

 

 

 

He acknowledged Oba Ogunwusi’s efforts in promoting unity across cultural and religious lines, which aligns with CAN’s mission of embracing diversity as a unifying force.

 

 

 

 

 

“Your role as a first-class traditional ruler has had a profound impact on our nation. You have worked tirelessly to foster interfaith dialogue and uplift the people,” he added.

 

 

 

As the Ooni reflects on his 50 years, Okoh prayed for continued wisdom and strength for the monarch to lead with integrity, noting that his influence would continue to inspire progress in the years ahead.

 

 

 

 

He added:”We pray that God grants you many more years of good health and fulfillment in your noble endeavors,” the CAN president said, reaffirming his admiration for the Ooni’s leadership.

 

 

 

“Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi’s contributions to cultural preservation and his commitment to peace have earned him recognition not only as a traditional leader but also as a symbol of unity for Nigeria, especially in these critical times”.
