All Progressives Congress(APC) Presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu,Friday advised Nigerians not to fall for the antics of economic saboteurs .
He said the current hardship is orchestrated by enemies of democracy to cause unrest so that the presidential election could be truncated or postponed and impose interim government.
He spoke at Ekiti Parapo Pavilion during APC Presidential rally,where he also urged Nigerians not to fall for the antics of enemies democracy .
According to him,Nigerians should not to be provoked but come out enmasse on the 25th of February to exercise their franchise by casting their votes for the APC .
He said:”This election is very crucial to us in SouthWest .It is going to be a poll for liberation. They are hoarding cash and fuel with a view to causing hardship so that the people would storm the streets in anger.Their plot is to disrupt the election timetable and force poll extension. We are wiser and smarter than them. We are going to outsmart them .
” I want to implore you to keep your Permanent Voter Cards and trek to your various polling booth and cast your vote for APC .Even of they forced rain to fall on the election day ,we shall come out and cast our votes .
Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji,in his remarks assured that Ekiti State would give the highest percentage of votes in the Presidential poll.
He disclosed that the state had enjoyed Tinubu’s benevolence over the years ,stressing February 25 would be the payback time .
He added:”We are not going going to be an people ungrateful. Tinubu has assisted us in many ways over the years .This is the time to show our appreciation and we are going to do that with our with our PVCs ”
A federal lawmaker, representing Ekiti Central Senatorial District, Opeyemi Bamidele, expressed confidence that Ekiti electorates will vote massively for the former Lagos State governor based on his unmatched track records in governance.
Bamidele, who is seeking re-election on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, described Tinubu as a thinker with great intellect, electrifying popularity,unifying tentacles and unflagging focus for good governance required to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari at the expiration of his tenure.
He added that Tinubu has developed a workable blueprint to rewrite Nigeria’s history and inject good governance in the body polity, assuring that he is not seeking power to gamble with Nigeria’s destiny.
Bamidele spoke in a statement made available to journalists in Ado Ekiti, on Friday, during the APC presidential rally and Tinubu’s visit to Ekiti.
Canvassing votes for Tinubu, Bamidele lauded Ekiti voters for trooping out en masse to galvani’s evening support for the APC , urging them to translate this to voting in February 25,2023.
He disclosed that he was part of the Tinubu’s cabinet that drove his developmental vision for Lagos State, which he said afforded him in-depth knowledge about the APC leader’s competence, capability and unmatchable knack for good governance.
Bamidele stated that Ekiti has enormous benefit to derive from Tinubu’s presidency if actualized, on account of his love for the people of the state.
” My belief in Asiwaju Tinubu to turn around this nation remains unwavering. I know he is one leader with scientific knowledge of governance, its complexities and idiosyncracies of politics surrounding it. This is necessary because of the pluralities of Nigeria’s ethnicity and religion.
“He has a strong foundation , having worked in one of the multinational oil companies before becoming governor of the most sophisticated state in Nigeria-Lagos. With these, it will not be herculean for him to rally the private sector to develop every sector of the economy.
