Coalition for Good Governance (C4GG) has cautioned civil society organizations in the country against partisan reports on Osun state.
Adetayo Adegbemle,Convener, C4GG,who gave the counsel in a press statement,observed that since the change of government in the state,there has been concerted effort by unknown names masquerading as civil society organizations to portray Osun as unstable and insecured.
He maintained that such narrative is neither in the best interest of the people of the state,nor a fair assessment of the situation on ground in Osun.
He added:”While there has been little skirmishes here and there, the security operatives in the state should be allowed to do their jobs, as they have been doing in the past.This is the time for us all to work together as Gatekeepers of Government in the interest of the commonwealth of the people of Osun State”
He implored civil society organizations to seek objective partnership with the state government with a view to encouraging investments, job creation and reposition a state that has been misgoverned .
According to him,C4GG will be carrying out a series of surveys and seek ways to partner with the government of Osun for viable Investment opportunities, and how government can further support and secure private investments.
