Restructuring: Kaduna Electric Rules Out Workers’ Sack

The  new Board of Directors of Kaduna Electric,Friday assured staff of the power firm of job security as there coming won’t bring in wholesale changes in the operation of the company.

The board,however,said staff who are willing to leave the employ of the company would be given the free will to do so.

The chairman of the board,Alhaji Abbas Jega. who gave the assurance at the inaugural meeting with other members,also implored management and staff to tighten their belts and re-dedicate themselves to work to revive the fortune of the company.

He emphasized that  board’s mandate is to chart a new course that will lead the company back on the path to sustainable growth.

Engr. Aliyu Abbas, represented the Managing Director,  Engr. Yusuf Usman Yahaya at the meeting assured the chairman and other board members of  necessary cooperation  in moving the company to enviable height.

Other board members who attended the meeting were;Alhaji Ameenu Abubakar and Mr. Ignatius O. Ayewoh of the Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE). Alhaji Umar Abdullahi, an Independent Director, also attended virtually.

A member,  Marlene Ngoyi, was unable to attend the meeting,a statement from the company said .
