Defence College Provost, Experts Tackle Youth Development At Ebira Seminar

Prof. Adam O. Abere, College Provost, National Defence College,Nsukka,Dr. Godwin Oyibo,President General, Ebira People’s Association (EPA) and Prof. Abdulmumin Momoh,Lecturer, University of Nigeria, Nsukka, have been confirmed as key speakers at Ebira youth virtual seminar billed to hold on March 26,this year.

Themed: “Beyond Politics: Empowering Ebira Youths to Build Purpose, Peace, and Prosperity,” the seminar is jointly organized by Trans Atlantic Centre—a research, recreation, and community development initiative and New Ebira Development Initiative (NEDI), a select network of Ebira non-state actors across the globe committed to the sustainable growth and development of the zone.

In a statement on Thursday,Engr. Yusuf Momohjimoh Ondeku, member, planning committee, explained that the initiative seeks to introduce a new developmental framework aimed at repositioning the successor generation of Ebira youths in Kogi State.

According to him, the framework is designed to equip young people with relevant skills, positive values, broadened perspectives, and the capacity for self-reliance—thereby enabling them to make meaningful contributions to societal growth and long-term community development.

He hinted that the seminar is expected to attract over 200 Ebira youths, professionals, thought leaders, and civil society practitioners from within Nigeria and the diaspora. 

He added:”This groundbreaking engagement aims to shift the narrative from over-dependence on political pathways to a more diversified model of empowerment anchored on enterprise, civic responsibility, peacebuilding, and sustainable prosperity.”

Mrs. Latifah Isah,MD/CEO Aspitah Global Resource Limited, Coach Nafisah Aliyu, Adiba of  Adibah Hayah Foundation, Comrade Ahmed Saka Bachido, President General, Ebira Youth Congress (EYC), and Comrade Mohammed Arube would serve as discussants at the seminar.
