Yobe Hisbah Bans All Mixed-Gender Public Interaction For Sallah

The Yobe State Hisbah Commission has announced new regulations that will be enforced throughout Yobe State during the upcoming Sallah and wedding celebrations. 

In a public notice released on Thursday, the Commission said  interaction of males and females, reckless driving and over speeding with vehicles and tricycles have been prohibited.

It also announced ban on isolated discussions between males and females that contradict the teachings of Islam

The three key activities, the Commission said, would be enforced to maintain peace, safety, and uphold Islamic values within the community.

The Commission implored all residents and visitors to adhere to these directives to foster a safe and respectful environment during the festive period.

Speaking, Dr. Muhamad Yawudi Kale, the State Commander of the Hisbah Commission, emphasized the import of cooperation from the public in maintaining order and promoting the values of Islam.

He expressed the Commission’s commitment to ensuring that the festivities align with the principles of Islamic conduct.
