A foremost procurement expert and staff of the University of Port Harcourt, Dr. Biebele Emmanuel Arimie, has been awarded the Fellowship of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply Management of Nigeria, CIPSMN.
Held during the Annual Mandatory Program of the CIPSMN on Friday, the academic fellowship is based on section 5(2)(c) of the CIPSMN Act 2007 which recognizes a member as Fellow, if he or she is a chartered member of high professional standing that have met certain conditions including to have served the Institute well and had not less than 7 years experience in a senior purchasing and supply post in a private or public organization at the time of his application or enrolment.
Decorated by President of the Chartered Institute of Supply Chain Management Ghana, Mr. Richard Asante-Amoah, who was the special guest at the event, the Fellow is an annual event of the Institute that recognizes academic excellence, professional input and economic impact to the country.
At the event, Mr.Asante-Amoah who is also the Regional Chairman for Africa in the International Federation of Purchasing and Supply Management (IFPSM), commended Dr. Arimie among other awardees for their excellent academic profile, contributions to national development and knowledge transfer.
With over five other awardees and several high profile members of the CIPSMN, the President, Alh. Sikiru Balogun, the Registrar, Prof. MJ Aliyu and the North Central Coordinator, Dr. Abdul Mamman were in attendance.
