The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has reinstated Sen. Samuel Anyanwu as the National Secretary of the party.
The party has also postponed its National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting scheduled for June 30 and has said it will use the opportunity to hold expanded caucus meeting to address various issues bedeviling the party.
The Acting National Chairman of the party, Amb. Umar Damagum, told newsmen that after an extensive meeting, the party decided to do the right thing.
He described the decision to bring back Anyanwu as the National Secretary as a bitter pill for PDP to swallow.
The PDP has been embroiled in crisis over the issue of who is its authentic National Secretary.
Apart from Anyanwu, the PDP had, at different times, named Hon Sunday Ude- Okoye and Architect Setonji Koshedo as its Secretary and acting National Secretary respectively.
