The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board says about 379,997 candidates in the recent 2025 examination would retake the examination.

Registrar and Chief Executive of JAMB, Ishaq Oloyede revealed this on Wednesday in Abuja.

He explained the decision to allow some candidates retake the examination, followed widespread complaints of technical glitches, which resulted in abysmally low scores.

Prof. Oloyede, while admitting the glitches fell short of shedding tears.

He said he took full responsibility for the negligence of its staff, revealing that 65 centres in Lagos and 92 centres in Owerri Zone covering the five states in the South East, would rewrite the exam.
