The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, says it has supplied over 84 million barrels of crude oil to the refinery since the commencement of Dangote Refinery in 2023.
This was executed through the Naira crude contract, according to the company’s spokesman, Femi Soneye.
In a statement on Monday, Soneye punctured the alleged unilateral termination of the crude oil sales agreement in Naira between NNPC and Dangote Refinery.
According to him,the contract for the sale of crude oil in Naira was a six-month agreement, subject to availability, and is set to expire at the end of March 2025, adding that discussions are currently underway to establish a new contract.
He reaffirmed NNPC’s commitment to supplying crude oil for local refining based on mutually agreed terms and conditions.
He said the company seeks to promote transparency and clarity in its business dealings.
