The Governor of Oyo State, Engr Seyi Makinde has formally presented the Staff and certificate of appointment to Prince Akeem Abimbola Owoade, marking his ascension as the Alaafin of Oyo.
The brief event,which took place on Monday, at the Oyo State Government secretariat, Ibadan was attended by prominent dignitaries, traditional rulers, government officials, and enthusiastic Oyo indigenes.
In his remark Makinde vowed that the chiefs who collected money during the process will be prosecuted.
