The Magistrate Court in Ado-Ekiti has granted bail to the Human Rights Lawyer and Activist,Dele Farotimi over the alleged defamation suit against him.
The Chief Magistrate, Abayomi Adeosun, while granting the bail application from the defence counsel on Friday said the defendant must provide two sureties with one of them a house owner in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital.
The court also held that the defendant should submit his international passport and refrain from granting media interviews both in the print or electronic media pending the determination of the substantive suit.
He adjourned the case till February 13,2025 for commencement of trial.
