Fanot Oil and Gas Company,has concluded plans to establish refinery in Edo state.
The Commissioner for Mining and Energy, Hon. Enaholo Ojiefoh met with the investors in his office in Benin City, and outlined the achievements of Governor Godwin Obaseki in the oil and gas sector.
He stated the import the governor places on the host communities and the need for them to be properly carried along as their interest and wellbeing remain paramount and must be protected at all times.
Commending the investors for making Edo State their destination of choice,the Commissioner assured them of the support of the state government,warning against all forms of infractions or sabotage against the state and its people, as such acts would be met with swift sanctions in accordance with the law.
Speaking,the Managing Director of Fanot Oil, Engr. Felix Aruya,disclosed that the company was proposing to build another refinery in the state, adding that that the project would commence as soon as they get proper approvals for their operations in Edo.
“We have carefully studied all the oil producing states in Nigeria and their attendant requirements for operation, it is noteworthy to place on record that the Ease of Doing Business Initiative by the Governor Godwin Obaseki led administration is of global standard.
“We won’t hold back to let you know that we will make all the refined products available here, which in return will open up more businesses as well as employment opportunities,” he added
