Alhaji Lukmon Adeleke Idowu, a businessman has constructed and donated a borehole and water reservoir to Odo community in Odogbolu Local Government Ogun State to mark his birthday.
He explained that he built and donated the borehole and water reservoir in the bid to empower the members of the community to have access to clean water and prevent waterborne diseases.
He thanked God for making him see another year, adding that he will continue to do philanthropy as long as he lives.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Oluwaseun Oguntade, the founder of Hon. Oluwaseun Adekunmi (HOA) Foundation, commended Idowu for constructing and donating the borehole and water reservoir to the community.
Alhaja Folashade Oshiyemi, Iya Egbe Tobalase Akile Odogbolu, commended the donor, adding that the facilities will reduce the incidence of waterborne diseases in the community.
Also speaking,Alhaja Kuburat Shoyombo,implored members of the community to maintain facilities properly and called on other public spirited people to engage in philanthropy in order to empower others.
