Hon Sewedu Olamîlekan Samuel, the Chief of Staff to the Chairman, Badagry Local Government, Hon Olusegun Onilude on Monday refuted allegations of circulating a video on Facebook where Hon Solomon Saanu Bonus, was quoted to have made indicting comments against Hon. Mobolaji Ogunlende, Special Adviser to the Governor of Lagos State on Special Duties and Inter-governmental Relations.

He denied the allegation in a statement saying he was not at the venue of the meeting.

He said:”My attention has been brought to a sponsored Facebook post by Solomon Saanu Bonu (SSB) page where my name and office as the Chief-of-Staff to the Executive Chairman of Badagry Local Government was erroneously mentioned by mischief makers.

“They mentioned my name as the person circulating a video where Bonu was quoted to have made indicting comments against Ogunlende. For the records, at the level of the meeting where the video emanated from was held, I was not there and did not send anyone connected to my office there to capture or record the proceedings.

“Bonu was captured on a Live Facebook video making sweeping allegations against some persons that they sent thugs/cultists to molest or harass One Wheto Olatunji who wrote an incendiary post on Facebook against Mobolaji Ogunlende.

“Secondly, I frown greatly at the common narrative that has been pushed by Hon. Bonu Solomon where he is fond of labelling whoever that does not belong to his camp a cultist or an adherent of cultism activities,” he said.

He said in the course of this election process from party primaries to the general elections, he had personally had to correct the notion that Badagrians were not cultists both in written and verbal engagements with people.

“The damage the false narrative created by Hon. Bonu about some of us who supported of Hon. Yahaya Lateef aka Way against Hon. Bonu has done to our hard earned reputation and profile is really disheartening.

“Lastly, I want to state categorically that I contributed immensely in my little capacity by brokering peace, embark on massive campaigns online or offline and also invested my hard earned money.

“This is with the support of my leaders Hon. Onilude, Baba Sunny and other notable leaders into the campaigns and the process that led to emergence of Hon. Bonu as well as other candidates of the party.

“For this reason, I will not be a party to any narrative that will undermine the pains of my leaders who staked everything for our party to emerge victorious in the elections. The Badagry development agenda has been my goal as an individual and it is at the forefront of my involvement in politics,” he said.
