MySol Connects 90,000 Nigerians To Clean Solar Energy

No fewer than 90,000 households have been connected to clean solar energy by MySol Nigeria since it commenced services in Nigeria five years ago.

MySol,a solar home systems brand in Nigeria,also said about 450,000 lives across Nigeria have been impacted with the green energy solutions since it came onboard a few years ago.

Mr. Bankole Cardoso, the Managing Director, ENGIE Energy Access Nigeria,who stated these in a signed statement in Lagos,commended his team for reaching the 90,000-customer milestone within the period.

He maintained that the latest achievement further underlined the company’s unwavering commitment to improving the livelihoods of people in Nigeria, particularly those in underserved and unserved rural communities.

He added: “MySol is proof of our belief that innovative off-grid solutions are an important part of solving the problem of inadequate power generation and supply, which is a major challenge in many African countries, including Nigeria.”

Emmanuel Eguaroje, Head of Commercial, ENGIE Energy Access Nigeria,stated that the number of productive and commercial users, and those owning appliances had increased with MySol and other off-grid solutions.

He explained that ENGIE Energy Access was emerging as a key driver of socio-economic growth in Nigeria by making affordable, reliable off-grid solar solutions available to many more peopl“We are pleased to be contributing to the improved livelihoods of our customers and their families,” he said.

The MySol portfolio ranges from simple systems that consist of bulbs to power a home or business as well as charge phones, to fan kits that deliver comfort, television kits that provide customers access to information and entertainment as well as other accessories such as radio, speakers, and torches.
