Police authority in Kano on Friday said they have arrested Mohammed Sadiq,a suspected Kuje Correctional Centre escapee.
A statement by the local police image maker, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, disclosed that the suspect who is of Badarawa Quarters, Kaduna North LGA, Kaduna State was picked up at Rangaza Quarters, Ungogo LGA, Kano State.
SP Kiyawa explained that :”On 23/09/2022 at about 1800hrs, based on credible information and sustained intelligence gathering, a team of Operation Restore Peace attached to the command’s Criminal Investigation Department arrested one Abubakar Mohammed Sadiq, ‘m’, 25 years old of Badarawa Quarters, Kaduna North LGA, Kaduna State, a suspected Kuje Correctional Centre escapee.”
He said the Commissioner of Police directed that the suspected escapee be handed over to the Nigeria Correctional Service, Kano State Command
