The Prime Minister of Epe Kingdom, popularly known as the Mogaji-Geri of Epeland, Alhaji Chief Adio Oduola, has implored members of Club Seventies Epe to uphold accountability,unity,transparency and serve as worthy tambassadors of the community.
The Club’s Publicity Secretary, Mr. Azeez Sanuth disclosed in a statement that Oduola gave the advice during a courtesy visit to the club’s house in company of Otun Balogun of Epe Kingdom, High Chief Olawale Mogaji, Iposu of Lagos, Omooye Al-Bashir Mogaji, and Dr. Hassan Sanuth.
He commended the club for its commitment, dedication and selfless service to the growth and development of the Epe community.
He advised that the development and unity of the community should remain paramount in the minds of every club’s members.
He said there was need for the club to collaborate with other stakeholders with a view to adding value to the lives of the people
“The Club should work together to ensure that there is unity, growth and development in Epe communities. Club Seventies Epe should not relent in contributing there quotas to the growth and development to the communities as part of your corporate social responsibility. Everyone should uphold unity. You should demonstrate leadership and work together to make this happen,” he added
Oduola prayed for members of the club and emphasized the need for them to make accountability, transparency and truthfulness their watchwords .
Also speaking, the Otun Balogun of Epe Kingdom, High Chief Olawale Mogaji,said:’I cannot but appreciate you all for the warm reception even despite that it is an unscheduled visit,’ he thanked the leadership of the club.
He stressed the need for social interaction and responsible clubbing to add value to the society.
In his remarks,the Club’s President, MD Adelaja Hassan appreciated the prime minister and his entourage for their overwhelming support and word of advised to the club.
He reiterated that the visit was a morale booster to the club members, adding that the gesture will also encourage members to impacted more to community development.
He implored the royal fathers to support the club in developing development community and empowering the empowerment.
The immediate past-president of the club, Mr Ibrahim Sanuth ,expressed the club’s appreciation for the visit, noting that members will continue to be a good ambassador of the community and Lagos in general.
