2023: Obasanjo Reveals Prefered  Presidential Candidate

Former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo,says  he has no preferred candidate to take over from President Muhammadu Buhari next.

He will be ready to stand by any candidate that will work towards solving the numerous challenges bedevilling the country and her citizenry.

He disclosed these in Minna,Niger State,where he met behind closed door with former Military Head of State, General sAbdulsalami Abubarkar (rtd).

Obasanjo however said the only criteria he expects from whoever will be the next President and for him to stand by the person is that he must have a national outlook in solving the mileage of problems facing Nigeria.

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo who has been rumoured to be supporting former Governor Peter Obi told journalists that what he is doing is a national agenda, adding that, “I don’t have a special candidate, I have a national agenda”.

According to him, “I have come to see my brother who was a bit indisposed and when he was abroad I had wanted to visit him, and the day I arrived in London to visit him that was the same day he left London”.

“So I said, well since I could not see him while he was in London, I will come to see him when he is back in Nigeria. And so, that is what I have come to do”, the former President further hinted.
