Court Remands Man For Stealing Maggi

A Sharia Court in Kano has ordered remand of a 37-year-old man, Yusha’u Ado in the state’s correctional facility for allegedly stealing 22 cartons of seasoning cubes.
Yusha’u Ado was arraigned by the police on a two-count charge of “criminal breach of trust and cheating,but he  pleaded guilty to the charges when it was read to the accused person.
The prosecutor, Abdullahi Wada,  told the court that, the complainant, one Jamilu Ibrahim of Galandanci Quarters, of Kano metropolis reported the matter at Sabon Gari police station on March 10.
He said the complainant reported that he entrusted Ado with 260 cartons of seasoning cubes to keep and later  discovered that 22 cartons of seasoning cubes worth N216,000 were missing when he went to recovered his goods.
The presiding judge, Dr Bello Khalid  ordered the accused to be  remanded in the state’s correctional centre until the next adjourned date which was fixed for April 8, 2022.
