Babajide Sanwo-Olu Lagos State Governor has emphasized the need for sectors and businesses to embrace  the significant role of  technology and innovation to survive and grow in the post-COVID pandemic era.
Sanwo olu, who was represented by Dr. Kadri Hamzat, his deputy stated this while speaking at the Out-of- Home Advertising conference and exhibition with the theme: “Roadmap for the Growth of Signage and Out-of-Home Advertisement Post COVID-19 in Lagos’ at the Eko Convention Centre, Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island on Thursday.
He said: “It is clear to all of us globally that COVID-19 has  impacted in a very significant manner the way we do things, the way we live and the way businesses are conducted. There is no sector that has not felt the impact of the pandemic globally. It has therefore become imperative for all sectors of the economy to align with the new realities brought upon us by COVID-19 in order to remain relevant, not only for today, but also for the future,” he said  .
According to him, marketing and advertising sector is very crucial to the growth of the economy through their activities which cuts across all sectors.
He added that this conference provides opportunity for business leaders and professionals in the advertising and marketing space of the  economy to continue the conversation with the aim of developing new ideas and strategies that will enhance the growth of the signage and out-of-home advertisement sector in the post-COVID era particularly in Lagos State which accounts for a significant percentage of the businesses that occurs in our country.
