An okada rider in Delta, Onoriode Simon,has narrated how he was involved in raped and killed a 50 year old pepper seller, Mrs Patience Komone in connivance with one Akpoghene Shoemaker,who is currently at large.
The suspect gave the account of the gruesome mother of the trader during the parade of criminals involved in different illicit activities by the Delta State, Commissioner of Police, Ali Muhammed Ari .
He said he acted on the instruction of
Akpoghene to carry the trader at a bush path in Umeh to buy pepper.
He added:”My friend, Akpoghene told me to carry a particular pepper trader at a bush path in Umeh to buy pepper. I carried her to the place my friend told me she would be able go buy pepper. When we got there, we did not see anyone that has pepper to sell. Then, she told us that she would go elsewhere to look for pepper. It was then I saw my friend with a matchete at his back.
“I asked my friend what he wanted to use it for, he replied that he wants to use it for something. When we got close to our bike, Akpoghene used a machete to hit the woman. While woman was struggling for life, we kept her at the corner of the road and has sex with her. After which we checked her bag and saw N40, 000, he than used cut out her private part and her eyes.
“After three days, people started looking for the woman. While people who saw me when I carried her on my bike , asked me of her whereabout.It was then I told them what happened, then they started beating me. My friend gave me N50, 000 after selling the parts of the woman for N100, 000 to one man
“I did not know Akpoghene was going to do such a thing because I have never done such a thing with him. He is now on the run but I know he is in Umeh community.
