Full speech of President Buhari's address to Nigerians on End SARS protests  — Global Times Nigeria

Five days after he underscored his love for Nigeria and Nigerians that he could die for them,
President Muhammadu Buhari, says he is indebted to Nigerians for the opportunity giving him to serve the country.
Buhari,who  disclosed this during his visit to Borno State,promised that  he would use his strength  to improve the quality of life of Nigerians, starting with provision of adequate  and effective security.
At  the palace of  Shehu of Borno,  the President emphasised his tie  with Borno State,adding that he started his career as an administrator as a military officer in old Borno State where he served as governor for seven months, under then Head of State, Gen. Murtala Ramat Mohammed.
After Mohammed’s assassination, General Olusegun Obasanjo who succeeded him appointed Buhari as Minister of Petroleum .
He added:“My commitment to serve Nigerians is a payback for the love shown to me. I started my political adventure in Maiduguri and I always look forward to coming here”
He commended the Borno State Governor, Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum, for his forthrightness, resilience and drive in bringing development to the state, despite security challenges.
He noted that very few leaders will take the kind of risks Governor Zulum had taken over the years to protect his people and promote peace and development, especially in putting his life on the line by spending nights with vulnerable people.
The Governor thanked the President for visiting Borno State to appraise the security situation, and commission some of the completed projects in the last few years.
Speaking , the Shehu of Borno, Alhaji Abubakar Ibn Garbai El-Kanemi, thanked the President for consistent response to the plight of the people in the State, pointing out that the security situation had improved significantly.
He said resettlement of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) will improve their economy as many will return to the farms to further boost food security, while others will continue with their trade.
