Power sector conundrum: As news of total collapse spreads – The Sun Nigeria
The Nigeria Consumer Protection Network,has appealed to President Muhammadu Buhari to save the nation’s power sector from total collapse through his prompt intervention
Its President,Kunle Olubiyo, who disclosed in a statement said  the dwindling power generation and the attendant power supply to most parts of the country was worrisome
He hinted that the nation’s power generationhas dropped to all time low at 1,942 megawatts
He added:”Generation as at 22:40 on 10th June was 1,941.01MW. At 00:06hrs on 11/6/21, it was 3,338.77MW at 00:06hrs.
By 00:17hrs today, it dropped to 2,22029MW”
He said the development shows the nation was still short of the readiness to find lasting solutions to the troubled power sector.
He said:”For a Nation that prides itself as
giant of Africa,this seriously a national embarrassment and unacceptable  to us as
end users and electricity consumers
Who is out to frustrates President Muhammadu Buhari’s desire to fix the power sector?.Things  aren’t  just adding up.This is the time to act
“Dear and beloved President  Buhari, your government is being  blackmailed by fifth columnist.We are heading towards an un necessary crises and backlash.It is needless and avoidable”
