Over two hundred and seventy inmates awaiting trials at the new Katsina Correctional Centre have been granted bail conditions by the Katsina State Judge,Justice Musa Danladi Abubakar.
Abubakar,who announced the gesture at the end of a special visit to correctional facilities in the state,disclosed that the beneficiaries of the gesture were those whose guilt has not been proved.
He explained that part of the reasons of the visit to the correctional centres was to decongest the facilities to prevent the spread of Coronavirus and other diseases.
He assured that the security challenges facing the state and the country in general will soon be overcome.
He also promised that no innocent person would be unjustly detained and prosecuted in the state.
