Three suspected kidnappers have been lynched by angry mob at Oghara, Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State, following a failed bid to kidnap victim
In a statement by the Acting Police Public Relations Officer, Delta State Command, DSP Bright Edafe said the police received a information on Monday 10, 2021 that mob were attacking three kidnapping suspects who attempted to kidnap a victim.
He stated that consequently, the police in Oghara division mobilized patrol teams and vigilante teams to the scene and rescued the three suspects.
According to him, the suspects include, Onome Efetobore ‘m’, a notorious criminal that has been in a police wanted list, Collins (surname unknown), also a known notorious kidnapper and an armed robber who escaped from Benin correctional facility during EndSARS protest and one Glory Reuben, also a notorious criminal.
He added that the three criminals were severely beaten by the mob but rushed to the hospital by the police where they were later confirmed dead at General Hospital Oghara.
He said:”Exhibits recovered include a locally made pistol and three live cartridges. The commissioner of Police wishes to advice members of the public to work with the police, and and stay away from jungle justice”.
