The Girls’ Brigade has installed Rev. Mother Abimbola Esther Ajayi as its Grand Matron during a special parade at the Love of Christ Generation Church, Victoria Island.
The ceremony celebrated Rev. Mother Ajayi’s dedication to the church and her contributions to youth development through the Brigade.
Senior Prophet Tayo Ajose, General Secretary of the Unification Church, was also honoured as Grand Patron of the Girls’ Brigade, in appreciation of his steadfast support and encouragement of the organisation’s mission.
The ceremony brought together members of the Brigade, church leaders, and distinguished guests in an atmosphere of celebration, discipline, and recognition of dedicated service to God and the church.
Speaking at the event, Senior Prophet Tayo Ajose expressed gratitude for the recognition bestowed on Rev. Mother Abimbola Esther Ajayi. He noted that the Cherubim and Seraphim Church is proud of the Girls’ Brigade for identifying and honouring her continuous dedication to the things of God.
“The Cherubim and Seraphim Church is proud of the Girls’ Brigade for recognising Rev. Mother Abimbola Esther Ajayi’s continuous dedication to the things of God. This appreciation and recognition award is very important and special,” he said.
In her acceptance remarks, Rev. Mother Abimbola Esther Ajayi expressed heartfelt appreciation for the honour:
She added: “I am deeply honoured to be entrusted with this role as Grand Matron of the Girls’ Brigade. This recognition is not just for me, but for the work of God that continues to inspire and guide us all. The Girls’ Brigade represents discipline, faith, and service, and I am committed to supporting these young women as they grow into leaders who will shine the light of Christ in every sphere of life. May the Lord strengthen us to keep building a generation rooted in love, excellence, and dedication to His work.”
