The National Vice Chairman (North-East) of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Mustapha Salihu, has reiterated the critical importance of the party’s electronic membership registration exercise, describing it as central to the APC’s drive towards modernisation and digitisation.

He said the e-registration initiative is a long-standing vision of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, noting that the President has nurses the idea since as far back as 2014, although it was widely misunderstood at the time.

The programme, he said,  reflects President Tinubu’s resolve to build a technologically driven, data-based, and well-structured political party.

He spoke during an interactive session between the National Chairman of the APC and State APC Chairmen, convened to review party affairs and strengthen coordination across all levels of the party.

In his welcome address, the National Organising Secretary of the APC, H.E. Muhammad Sulaiman Argungu, emphasized the significance of the membership e-registration exercise. He highlighted the progress recorded so far nationwide, describing the initiative as a major step toward strengthening internal democracy and improving effective party administration.

The National Chairman of the APC, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, told the meeting that the onboarding of members on the e-registration portal is expected to be completed between December 2025 and January 2026.
