How Soldiers Rescued Abducted Monarch In Plateau Community

A traditional ruler of Pinau Community in Wase Local Government Area of Plateau State, Dr Dadda’u Ahmad who was kidnapped in the early morning of Tuesday alongside his driver has been rescued by soldiers attached to Operation Safe Haven in the community .

The spokesperson of Operation Safe Haven, Major Ishaku Takwa, confirmed the incident to newsmen that ” the victims have been rescued.”

Ubale Pinau, a resident of the village told newsmen that the rescued traditional ruler and his driver were abducted on their way to Wase town early Tuesday morning by gunmen suspected to be kidnappers.

He further explained that soon after the news of the incident was reported to soldiers in the community, they swung into action and trailed the kidnappers and rescued the victims during which they recovered two guns, and three motorcycles.

Nazifi Abubakar, a member of neighborhood watch in the area told newsmen that ” I was with the soldiers during the rescue operation. The traditional ruler has been brought back to the community by soldiers and other members of neighborhood watch who trailed the kidnappers to the bush. Everyone is happy in the community now.”
