The chairman of the Oyo State Security Network tagged Amotekun, General Ajibola Togun(rtd),has accused the Federal Government of inviting foreign Fulanis into country in order to invade the South west states.
He alleged   that there is imminent invasion of the Yorubaland by Fulani who are mainly foreigners from Mali, Niger Republic, Chad and Bourkina Fasso.
He maintained that the Federal Government is behind the invasion by opening the borders for them.
He noted that he was not out to frighten people but to alert them so that they could be watchful.
He also hinted that these non Nigerians are already hiding in most forest reserves in the south west zone, saying the invasion by the herders would soon happen and that it would definitely begin from Yorubaland.
The retired army officer who spoke on the theme, “Security Challenge: Holistic approach and the significance of regional security dimensions” disclosed this while speaking at the annual lecture organized by the students of the Institute of Peace and strategic Studies, University of Ibadan.
Togun warned that people in the six states of Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Osun, Ekiti and Ondo States should be security conscious, stressing that the commercial motorcyclists who have made incursion into the states were foot soldiers sent by the invaders to study the geography of the zone.
According to him, “The people who are supposed to administer Nigeria to move forward are biased in the aspect of religion. The Fulani that I grew up to know were the native Fulani. But these ones causing problems are non Nigerians.
“They are from FutaJallon, Mali, Bourkina Fasso, Chad, Niger Republic. Some of these people were Tuaregs who used to ambush traders in the olden days and robbed them of their money and property. These foreign Fulani, somebody has told them that Allah has given Nigeria to them as their heritage and they are coming here to come and take what Allah has given them”.
